Florida Data Science for Social Good (FL-DSSG) at the University of North Florida hosts AI challenges designed to encourage students to work in teams. Students are encouraged to form teams consisting of those who are confident in analytical thinking, problem-solving, and presentation. On Saturday, students will collaborate, explore curated Florida social & environmental datasets, and build AI‑powered solutions with their teams. On Sunday, teams pitch their solutions to a panel of industry experts, and awards go to the top three middle and high school teams. The competition problem cases would require students to tackle real-world social and environmental issues impacting Florida. The problem cases and datasets provided at the competition will be designed and curated by the FL-DSSG Professors.
