About the Artist

Louis Goldstein is Professor Emeritus of Music at Wake Forest University, where he taught for over four decades. A celebrated pianist, he has performed at major venues including the Hollywood Bowl, Chicago’s Orchestra Hall, and Carnegie Recital Hall in New York. His international appearances span Canada, Israel, the Netherlands, Czechoslovakia, and Italy.

Goldstein is known for his deep commitment to both classical and contemporary music. He co-founded the California New Music Ensemble and has been a member of several prominent contemporary groups, including the Los Angeles Group for Contemporary Music and NEWBAND in New York. His award-winning recordings include works by John Cage and Morton Feldman, released on labels such as Orion, Nuscope, and Offseason Productions.
