"Coral in a hot tub; exploring the genetics of temperature tolerance in Acropora cervicornis"
Join Dr. Matt Gilg, as he talks about the impact of climate change on corals. Dr. Gilg is an evolutionary geneticist that has been a professor at UNF since 2003. His work focuses mostly on marine invertebrates and fishes where he addresses questions related to gene flow, speciation, hybridization and adaptation to environmental changes. Much of his current work deals with the responses of threatened species of coral to elevated ocean temperatures.
