This Orientation event welcomes the new cohort of the Youth Environmental Leadership Program (YELP) at the UNF Institute of Environmental Research and Education. The event will introduce accepted YELP students to UNF, outline the YELP program project opportunities and program expectations, engage students with nature, and provide a chance to meet fellow participants and mentors for the upcoming year. The goal of this program is to provide high school students pre-collegiate experience to complete community-based environmental projects. The focus for YELP is for youth to connection other youth to nature.
