UNF Calendar of Events
It is crucial and imperative that ALL EVENTS hosted/co-hosted by UNF that are open to the public or the campus community are on the main calendar.
How to Submit
Getting Started
- To view the calendar, visit events.unf.edu
- To log in, use your UNF ID and SSO
- Add events at least 7 days before the start date, DON’T wait to add them until the last minute
Making a Submission
- Click the gray “Submit an Event” button
- Users must include an Event Name and Description
- Embed all links using the hyperlink button
- If the status of an event changes after publishing, this can be edited later by adding “Canceled”, “Postponed” or “Sold Out” to an event’s title
Schedule
- Type in Date & Time, then click “Add Above to Schedule” (As you type the date, the field below will update accordingly)
- By default, events are set to never repeat.
- Selecting the Repeating option will expose further scheduling fields
- Use Repeating when there’s more than one instance of an event, DON’T create multiple submissions
- For all day events, leave the time fields blank
Event Location
- As you type a building name, building number or location, suggestions will appear. If you don’t see the suggested location appear, choose the “Use:” field to enter a new location
- Selecting, Experience > Virtual or Hybrid will expose additional fields
- Always add a Room number if applicable
- Address and directions are only needed for events happening off the UNF campus
Additional Details
- Add Hashtag if applicable
- Always try to add an event website or link for more information
Photos
- Photos Only; No Flyers, Graphics or Logos
- High quality, horizontal photos are encouraged; suggested photo size is 940 px x 557 px
- The “Upload” option allows a user to add a unique photo
- The “Choose from Photo Library” option displays the photos in the pre-selected library for users to choose from
Filters
- Select all available Filters, Groups, or Departments that apply to your event; DON’T leave the Event Type section empty
- All Departments are listed, mark all that are relevant to your event
- Pick event type and topic from the list below
Event Types/Topics
- Pick the appropriate event type(s) and topic(s). You can pick multiple options
- Do not use the "Academic Calendar Only" options under the Event Type filter
Registration
- Enter either “Free” or the cost with a dollar sign
Visibility
- All events should be public unless you have an approved calendar exemption
Pending Process
- While the event awaits approval or after approval, a user can edit their events by selecting the Event Editor button available on their event page
- If you edit an already approved event, the listing will be removed from the front end while it awaits re-approval
